Project Description

Cold Solution Tanzania Limited engaged VJ Mistry for the design of a proposed temperature-controlled storage facility located at Kigogo, Kisarawe, within Kigamboni Municipality. The facility is intended to support cold chain logistics for perishable and temperature-sensitive goods. The project involves a purpose-built warehouse structure designed to accommodate insulated storage chambers and controlled climate zones. Special attention is given to thermal insulation, vapour barriers, and structural detailing suited to cold storage environments. The design addresses efficient material flow for loading, storage, and dispatch operations. Provisions are incorporated for refrigeration plant rooms and associated back-of-house services. The layout is planned to support operational efficiency and ease of maintenance access. Structural and architectural coordination ensures compliance with local building regulations. The project is currently ongoing, with completion targeted for 2026. Upon completion, the facility will strengthen Cold Solution Tanzania's cold chain storage capacity in the Kigamboni region.
